Canna of Indian Shot: as one species is known due to its round, hard black seed flowers from the beginning of summer until the first frost. Even before the plant flowers it is superb to gaze upon. Immediately after the last frost plant in a sunny spot approx 15 cm deep and approx 50 cm apart. Keep ground well wet. Forced flowering can be achieved by cultivating in a pot in a wet fibrous peat mixture indoors in February-March.
